Transition Advisory Group

PURPOSE

HB21-1304 required the Early Childhood Leadership Commission (ECLC) to convene a Transition Advisory Group (TAG), to learn from parents/families, members of the early childhood workforce, providers, school districts, human services leaders, Councils, and other stakeholders. The TAG helped advise the Transition Working Group, comprised of the Governor’s office, several state agencies, and the ECLC co-chairs, in developing recommendations to inform (1) the development of a transition plan for the new state department by November 1, 2021 and (2) the universal preschool program by January 1, 2022. The TAG, and any associated subgroups the ECLC convened, included a wide array of public and private voices to ensure the recommendations reflect the full spectrum of early childhood programs and services.
